The Waco City Council provides an opportunity for persons to speak at the city council’s business meeting on a resolution, ordinance, or public hearing, or at the Hearing of Visitors. Presentations are limited to 3 minutes for each individual. When speaking for 10 or more individuals present in the City Council Chamber, the presentation is limited to 10 minutes by the representative of the group, and other members of the group may not speak.
Individuals wishing to use a PowerPoint or other video images must submit the presentation to the City Manager’s Office no later than 10 a.m. the day of the meeting. This will allow staff time to review any type of video or PowerPoint to determine appropriateness for display at a public meeting and on the cable telecast and to give the IT department enough time to check the files, CDs or DVDs to make sure that there are no viruses prior to loading on the City computers.
Files smaller than 3Mb may be submitted via e-mail to Larryh@wacotx.gov. Files larger than 3Mb must be hand delivered on a CD, DVD or USB drive to the City Manager’s Office, 300 Austin Avenue 3rd Floor, Waco, Texas 76701. The USB drive, CD, or DVD will not be returned to the presenter.
The following digital image formats are acceptable for submission:
PowerPoint slides, Jpeg photo images, TIF files, PDF files, and BIT Files. Videos must play from a standard DVD. No web access is available.
